Analysis of the financial position & the financial performance of subsidiaries of State Bank of India, using CAMELs model

Abstract
The article gives an introduction about CAMEL model and its application in State Bank and its various subsidiaries. The major objective and hypothesis of the study was to analyze the liquidity position of each subsidiaries of State Bank. From this study it was concluded that SBBJ and SBP are at the top position in terms of liquidity position compared to all other subsidiaries. While SBM scored the lowest position due to its poor performance in Liquid Assets to Total Assets, Liquid Assets to Total Deposits, Liquid Assets to Demand Deposits, and Approved Securities to Total Assets.
